Digital Approximation
Resolution is an approximation of the past through analog and digital visual fragments. It has been inspired in 2020, when we vastly accelerated the design of our digital experiences and communication in all aspects of life.
Each artwork is a digital image sequence which is based on a biographic photograph. The sequence begins with a single colored cell which divides again and again. This exponential growth reveals more detail. The ultimate resolution depends on the recency of the photograph.
Windows and Arrangements
In exhibition, the works are projected in the original size of their subjects. The individual location is influenced by both spatial position of the photo content as well as relationship constellation. They are animated as loops with varying speed.
